This was just something quick I wanted to read to give myself a break. One of my favorite series of all times. How can you not love Scott pilgrim, I only wish they would remake it into a tv show or something.

In color this time. Still good!

This is one of the few graphic novels I've been dying to reread.
I read this book once in high school and am so happy to revisit this world.

There was one drop of the "r" word as a slur that I wasn't too keen on. Also for those who don't know, part of the main plot is that Scott is juggling two girls at the same time. While I never condone that behavior, I still gave this book a high review because the humor is there and it's clear that this will become a point of growth. Even if I wasn't coming into this book as a Scott Pilgrim fan, the fact that the last few panels are Wallace telling Scott that he needs to dump his Knives demonstrates that no one is okay with his behavior and will try to get him to rectify it.

Extremely overrated CanCon that's only beloved because it triggers the nostalgia button for a lot of people. So basically just normal CanCon, really, but millennial as opposed to gen x or boomer, I guess.

O'Malley is absolute awesomeness.

Scott Pilgrim is a 20 something who is in a band. He thinks he has fallen in love with a high school girl until he sees this package delivery girl who steals his heart. His snarky band members add to the full experience.

Buying all of them, what can I say?!
adventurous funny lighthearted fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Loveable characters: Yes

If you have seen the movie and didn't really get it, I definitely recommend reading the books. They make it so much better.
funny lighthearted fast-paced

finished this while waiting outside. perfect to read in bite sized chunks or not at all, the pace is exactly what i need right now.

loved reading this and seeing the differences to the live action adaptation and the changes made. who would have thought this would be Perfectly adapted on screen? my god edgar wright u absolute genius

cant believe the whole drawing of ramona in the party wasnt even in the comic!!!!! that was the best thing they couldve done instead of scott just holding down his two pointer fingers lmao

its so funny i laugh at myself while reading even if im outside and ppl could see me

love wallace (who is shocked i loved him in the film) needed more of him!!!!!!

the whole wallace and the clash and the boys scene was literally copied word for word and the beats were perfectly hit in the film, the humor was exactly the same. kieran culkin killed.

im shocked we didnt get any envy foreshadowing early on though like in the film

anyway yeah, perfect escape that i need and while reading it its like the time goes by so fast, its good. idk when ill pick up the next one but its gonna be when i need to breathe again lmao
