I don't know what took me so long to read the comics- I'm stunned to find out how closely the movie follows the scenes even panel-by-panel.
The humor is dry and effortlessly funny and Ramona is just as cool as she was when I watched the movie as a teen... I think it would be a tough time finding someone who doesn't find her charming :)
This was a great start and I'll be reading all the rest too.

Oh dear. I was looking forward to this one because it sounded like such fun. Well, first off, I didn't like the manga-style drawings. They made the characters so flat and emotionless. I also often couldn't distinguish between them which was confusing. I decided to concentrate more on the text to follow the story - and found it to be a complete jumble. I got around half-way through before giving up. I guess I just don't "get" this one.
