Bug love seeing some of her favourite princesses in this book!

Not bad. A lot of gendered stuff - a princess is kind, caring, polite, and loves to sing and dance - but also some nice boosters about being smart and reading, being brave and standing up to evil, and wanting to explore new places and things.

I hate these things but my oldest loves them.

It really has no plot but it works for learning to read. My daughter is not really a fan of this book, she is 4. I found some things a little sexist.

This is pretty much what you'd expect it to be, a collection of Disney princesses and characteristics that go along with them. From the text, it is assumed that if you want to be a princess, you have to have these traits. It works for most of them: kind, polite, brave, and smart. But others I don't think are a necessity: a dreamer, ready for fun, loves to sing and dance. It's okay to be or like those things but I don't think they are necessary for life. You don't have to try to fit those standards in the same way you try to be smart, kind, or brave.

Nice pictures featuring many Disney princesses and scenarios that exemplar their featured traits.

This is a Step 1 book for preschoolers and kindergartners and uses a lot of repetition for beginning readers.
