i flew through this one; on the surface, it might appear to be just another young love story, but its heart is much more than that. it’s about learning to trust and forge connections after trauma. it’s about developing the bounds of family and friendship. and i especially loved the emphasis on solid communication. so often conflict comes from people just not talking to one another. and while that is present in this story, there are also really good examples of how communicating can mitigate problems, build trust, and deepen relationships.
Me, a non romance lover, really enjoyed this. It was simple and easy to read and it was just relaxing. It wasn't as traumatizing as most CoHo books I have read but this book was perfect for me at this time.
It was good and I read it fairly quickly. I found myself guessing what was going to come next in some places so it felt a bit predictable.

Colleen Hoover has done it again. Another wonderful book that had me ugly crying. What a heart wrenching lovely story. It's beautiful.
3.5✨ This was a cute little read. Although there are some triggers I think it was a lot lighter than some of CoHo’s other books, so that was refreshing. I honestly don’t really have much to say about it which isn’t a bad thing. I just think it was a little too YA for me. But it’s been on my shelf for the longest so I wanted to knock it out. I think if you’re in the mood for a quick summer romance that’s not too deep, you might like this one.
Wow wow wow! This may be one of my faves from CoHo! Beyah is someone I want in my life. She thought the best in people even after going through hell and back over and over in her life. I found myself rooting for Samson and falling in love with their love. I had so much fun reading this book. Complete roller coaster! Happy, light, happy cry, ugly cry…all over the place. I really really recommend this book if you love CoHo and fun romance.
