Good Half Gone
by: Tarryn Fisher

THOUGHTS:

I want to thank the author for giving me the opportunity to read this e-arc in exchange for my honest review.

Esssssh it has been a hot minute since I picked up a thriller because I couldn’t find one that I was in the mood for but this book was just that particular book. I loved every single second of this book. I saw down with this book on a Sunday morning and read it front to back loving the twists and turns that Tarryn fished to us throughout. Her writing style I have to say is my favorite. Everything was here for this book for me personally, I loved the writing style, the storyline/plot, the characters were well rounded and well developed and I enjoyed every second. This book will keep you turning the pages trying to figure out what is going to happen next and will keep your heart racing. You will be walking along side Iris as she tries to piece together the cold case death of her twin sister. Put this addictive read on your TBR and you will not be disappointed.

I'm conflicted on how to review this one. I enjoyed the duel time lines and the setting of isolation on the island in the present time line. The idea of separated twins and amateur sleuths had me invested.
The grandmother was the real MVP for me with her sassy-ness. I will forever be calling people useless fucking dunples.
What I don't understand and maybe stop reading here in case of minor spoilers. Why did no one believe that Piper was kidnapped? I don't understand not believing Iris as a witness.
The ending of this one ruined the book for me. In my opinion it was so unbelievable that I literally just sat and stared at it page saying WTF.
I love a twist but they have to make sense and be believable and this just wasn't the case.

I found this one to be a bit slow, and some of the details around the plot (and plot twist) were not quite believable for me (that’s saying a lot, I can suspend allll the disbelief). The pace was slower than I would expect from this author, especially for a thriller. All the real suspense came at the very end which was a bit dissatisfying. Overall this one did keep me engaged throughout but it fell a bit flat for me.
