its official, i like cheesy romances novels

The ending was a little predictable however I did love the story line and the humour made me actually laugh out loud. Paps was fantastic!

the best romcom i’ve read in a while. I’ve been waiting and waiting to read a 5 star book this year and it finally came when I least expected it- I didn’t even know what this book was before I saw it on the shelf of my local library and just decided then and there to give it a go. I LOVED this book. The main character was honestly so loveable,  which i feel is rare especially in romcoms. it’s soooo cute and romantic down to the little details. will have you swooning several times. it’s also very funny- delivered on both the romance and comedy aspect of a romcom. i also really liked the message of seeing your goals through. sounds cheesy i know, but definitely something I feel i needed to hear. this is book is great for the hopeless romantics like me. the only thing I will say was that it was a bit slow at times. but i’m honestly so in love with this book!

the best way I think I can describe this book is 'meh'. I listened to the audiobook, narrated by Jonathan Bailey, who did a very good job, apart from the way he pronounced Van Gogh name which annoyed me every time he said it(which was a lot). however, I think if I had tried to read this book myself I would have DNFd is pretty early on.

I went into this thinking it was going to be a romance book, which I guess technically it is, but the two love interests don't actually meet until 3/4 of the way through the book and even then we don't really see much of their relationship because of a very annoying third act breakup.

Josh(MMC) was a little bit annoying at times and would also say some really out of pocket things, talking down on sex workers and being fat phobic which was completely unnecessary.

fast-paced

the love interest claims that she never finishes novels because she does not care to know the endings, and after learning that information I was tempted to DNF this book. Cute concept but boring execution

After a proposal gone wrong, leading to losing his job and flat, Josh decides since he can’t make good decisions, he’ll use a coin. And what an interesting year it was for  him! Josh was a fun character, and I enjoyed reading about his adventures - from new jobs, dates, and more.
