This book was so refreshing to read solely from a man’s perspective and I loved the travelling element. But this book gets 3 stars because it’s very cliche and brings nothing new to the table for me
I really enjoyed this book! I finished it in 2 days as I found the plot to be engaging and charming. Josh’s many encounters over his journey were great and I found Jesus and Eva very entertaining.
In the beginning I felt the story was a bit slow-paced, but it was a good foundation. I would have liked to have read more (details wise) about Josh’s travels because I get these were some of the best parts of the book.
I felt Sunflower Girl slightly emanated the persona of the ‘manic pixie dream girl’ trope, but overall the two’s relationship was believable and I liked their dynamic.
Would recommend as a short & uplifting read! (Even though I did shed a tear)

I have had this book in my Netgalley TBR for a long time as well as a physical copy that I bought at Barnes and Noble. I am not a huge fan of this book. The concept is different, however I wasn’t able to become emotionally invested in the characters and their story.

I made it to 70 % of the audiobook. My first problem was the repetitive names. I could not keep the character straight because the names were so similar and I kept getting confused!!!
Apart from that the start was fine, although the main character kept making stupid decisions.
Firstly, he proposes to his girlfriend and when she refuses he acts like his life is over. Which I understand. What I don't understand is the fact that a few days later he meets another girl and decides to chase her around Europe? Mind you he doesn't even know her name? The way we see the European cities through his eyes were so stereotypical and annoying. Look...at some point I found myself rooting against him and hoping he wouldn't find her. That's when I stopped reading...
The stereotypes of the European cities he is at were annoying as hell.
