Main character doesn’t seem to know who he is. Not a lot of depth to the plot or the characters. Everything conveniently falls into place but it’s not believable. Some things are put it as a shtick but don’t really make sense (two characters named Jake with no way to distinguish between the two, main character owns a rabbit, main character takes rabbit to Paris?)

A fun British rom-com. No, it's not fun to see Josh lose everything - girlfriend, job, home - and have to start all over. He feels like he's mad all bad decisions in live to end up losing it all at his young age. So, it is fun to watch him make a New Year's Resolution to base every decision on the flip of a coin. Thankfully he soon realizes that what color socks to wear every day doesn't need a coin toss. It's fun to start betting in your own head how the coin toss will land and will it lead Josh to love and employment.

Listened to the audio book, and did not care for the narrator. The story was cute over all though.

More comedy than romance. I enjoyed it but wasn't thrilled over it.

Thank you to Netgalley, William Morrow, and of course, James Bailey, for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A British Rom-Com - right up my ally! Josh is in the middle of a quarter-life crisis. With everything going wrong, he decides to move back home with his parents and dive into life in Bristol. While questioning his life choices, Josh decides - what would it be like to flip a coin to determine life? And so he decides to! It’s a joke at first until it starts to lead Josh to the life he wants, and so Josh puts his faith into the coin - until he meets the girl of his dreams, what will the coin say?

I enjoyed this as a Rom-Com. It was nice to follow Josh on his adventure. This was adorable, hilarious, and romantic. Bailey is a debut author and I think this stands tall as a Rom-Com and gives him a bright future.
