Red-hot enemies to lovers with on the edge of your seat suspense, jaw dropping and will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions. Saxon and Isla are fire and after many obstacles finally get their happy ending. The cliffhanger will leave you wanting more and I can’t wait for the next book of the series. This is one of Maria’s best books to date and left me with a major book hangover. Isla Quinn is hands down one of my favorite female heroines.

You have a savage and a cold hero; and a fiery beautiful and brave heroine. Together they are BOOM, passionte fire.
The author painted a beautiful story with the unstable political unrest and the ever present question of duty or love!

it has been a long time since a book has made me emotionally angsty, because I read so many books but I can safely say that this book with stay me for a long time. One of my top reads in 2020.
I can't wait to read for more of priest brothers and Holyrood. Also I hope I can buy a paperback of this book someday.

When I received this book, I wasn’t completely sure about it. Dark romance and anti-heroes are not exactly my thing, but I gave it a chance. And boy, I’m glad I did. It took me to a ride that I wished never ended.
The emotions this book brought were countless, from tears to blush, then rage and back to tears again ending with omfg.
Saxon, if I tell you this boy if fine, if I tell you that this boy is… effing cold and ruthless piece of work but all that goes to bin when he meets Isla—a beautiful, sassy and determined warrior. And boy, layer by layer, she pulls down the mask that covers that cold, ruthless heart. They are everything, their chemistry is electrifying. Both stubborn and willing to sacrifice themselves for another’s safety.

Every single character in this book was interesting and memorable… I adore Josie “language, Saxon.” lol

Could not get invested into storyline
I loved Isla and Saxon.
I was not expecting all the intrigue that was going on in this book.
Saxon is a spy for the crown. His family has sworn loyalty to king and country for generations and He and his brothers are no different other than they also have a complicated history with the recently assassinated king. Saxon is being blamed for the king's death and little does he know that the woman who just walked into his bar looking for work is the actual king killer.

I’m obsessed with this new series and characters!
Maria Luis has taken us on an adventure that can’t be missed and I loved everything about it. From the first chapter to the mind blowing cliffhanger, from the twisted story to the steamy moments and the strong headed banter, everything screams perfection in here.
It’s gonna be a heck of a ride.
