The only thing I could really appreciate is the author giving us context around Nina Simone's life and career. The book itself is pretty poorly written. The quotes he includes are worthwhile, but the rest is the pitts.

An expansive look at the life of a fascinating woman. Some phrases are translated awkwardly, but overall a very good read - definitely recommend if you've ever been entranced by Nina's work.
