I wanted to like this book more than I actually did. The pacing was a bit weird and I didn’t feel like very much actually happened here. I did appreciate that characters I like were finally introduced. And I like having the queens perspective as well. Auren is still confusing. I appreciate loyalty, but this feels a bit more like desperation or fear of being disliked. 
The setting was a bit confusing. I don’t understand quite where they are or how no one can see things outside windows.
