Thoughtful, an exploration of family. Felt like the author processing her own feelings about her trans experience which I enjoyed. Felt truthful.

First of all shout out Claire if u r reading this

Second of all- smart book- not always super enjoyable to read but I’m glad it exists. I definitely connected with Reese and Ames more- I couldn’t quite place them in Katrina’s world in a believable way but I liked the stretch and it made me think about different relationships to womanhood than my own

I think I’m judging harshly as it is a popular trans book

I really loved this books exploration of womanhood through flawed characters. The way it tackled three perspectives on parenting and motherhood was very profound. However, the pace of the book was tough to follow, it really lacked a sense of urgency and the writing style felt a bit jumbled.
