Despite being written over a hundred years ago, the trials and tribulations that Charles Pooter goes through are still very familiar, from dealing with an unruly child to difficult tradesmen and trying to get ahead in work. The Grossmiths have created a cast of family and friends that are utterly timeless in every aspect of their quirks, worries and joys. This maybe called a Diary of Nobody but I think a Diary of Everybody may be more apt. Packed with wit, sarcasm and a bit of cynicism to top it of this is a great read that anybody can enjoy.
