I didn't know what to expect from this and I was so happy that i LOVED IT!!
A small town, marriage of convenience, despise-to-lovers book with the right amount of spice, sweetness and swoon! It was so easy to read and follow along despite not having read the first book in the companion novel series. August was so so charming and sweet - his protective side was swoooonworthy. Natalie is an independent, feisty woman who despite the issues in her life is always down for her loved ones. August and Nat's banter was TOP TIER.
Enjoyed this so much that I am excited to read Secretly Yours now.

3.5 stars, better than Secretly Yours, but not anywhere near perfect. I think Tessa could have done so much more with August than what she did. I do think Natalie is a better FMC than Hallie was in Secretly Yours.

The plot was pretty good. I liked the characters. It did drag at times and it had too much spice for my preference.
