didn't grab me, and I feel a little icky about the incest plot. Might try again later.

This.... this manga is very unique. I love the premise of reincarnated angels and the upcoming war relating to angels, evil angels (didn't know that was a thing), and possibly Devils (ngl I was a bit lost so I'm not 100% sure.). From the first volume, it seems like the war will be between psycho sister and reincarnated sister turned man, so I'm excited for the death and training arcs to come.

One thing that threw me off was the incest... like that sh*t was inserted so fast into the book it made Vampire Knight's incest laughable.... Yuki, who? Nah, it's all about Sara now. But considering Setsuna is a reincarnated angel bro I wonder if the author will be like, "Aha! GOT CHA B*TCH," and his true parentage will reveal itself.... because how is he a reincarnated angel, but the sister isn't? Make it make sense.

I had whiplash reading some parts and was wondering if I was reading what I was correctly. But overall, the story has a good premise, and I've read worse in manga (VK was one of my first manga so... imagine the shock I had reading incest.) so I'm excited to see what comes next.

My first series by Kaori Yuki was The Cain Saga. I fell in love with her work and had to get everything that was translated into English.

I almost couldn't find this series and thought I would never complete it, but luck was on my side. . .

From the first page, I couldn't put this down. I love Kaori's artwork and her storytelling techniques, and yes - I found the incest weird at first - but the longer I read to build the pieces revolving around this, the more intriguing it got.

This series is not for everyone.

Alexiel loved God, but she was rebellious against Heaven, and as punishment, she was sent to Earth to live numerous tragic lives. This time she reincarnated as a teen: Setsuna Mudo, who is in love with his sister Sara.

Setsuna is a hardhead and keeps fighting anyone when he can. He tries to be noble in his attempts to no avail. Now Angels have come so Alexiel can wake up. Because an enemy has launched an insidious computer game Angel Sanctuary.

I still love this series and will be rereading it and reviewing each volume :)

A whole 20-volume series of Yuki Kaori's art and story? Yes please!

We are introduced to Setsuna, a teenage boy from Toyko, but it is revealed that he is the reincarnation of Alexiel, an angel who rebelled against God and her twin brother, Rociel.

In the beginning there are two streams to the story - first there is Setsuna's own life, filled with fist fights with the local thugs, and his confusing and illicit love for his own sister, Sara.

There is also the story of Kurai and Arakune, two demons who seek to free Alexiel to overthrow Heaven once and for all, and who seek to convince Setsuna of who he really is.

Meanwhile, a mysterious game called 'Angel Sanctuary' has appeared among Tokyo gamers, and is causing deaths all over the city. Who is responsible and what does it have to do with Setsuna and Alexiel?

I am a big fan of Kaori Yuki however this manga was overall disappointing. I didn't like the characters especially the two siblings they seemed dull and uninteresting. The plot as itself could have interested me but I don't really like previous life themes especially for angels and demons, it's a bit redundant.

I think I need to reread this before I come to any sort of conclusion. It's been a while since I've read any manga so I was a little confused at times and not used to the pacing. I'll just leave it at that for now. But I'm intrigued enough to come back.
