One of the most bizarre books I’ve ever read. I’ve never felt so disgusted while reading and it’s an intriguing emotion. You want to look away but you can’t, something deeply human is drawing you to this story. The authors writing is succinct yet delivers a powerful punch, each sentence has a purpose. His tone is witty and sarcastic, making the dark topics of this book seemingly light hearted. Entertaining and at times thought provoking too.

there are a lot of things that happen in this book just because they simply happen. i found that there was not much meaning behind them, and that i was constantly waiting to be met with some overall purpose of why these things were happening. maybe this was the point of the book, but this made it slightly hard to keep reading. it’s matter-of-fact tone is certainly witty, but can become drawn out and at some points boring. it was also structured so that most of the plot happened in the last few chapters.
