Re-read February 2016 - I'm sticking with 5 stars, although I'm rounding up from 4.5. I noticed this second time around how much this book really reflects Hoover's background in social work. There are a lot of very positive mental health elements here and we aren't left to assume a happily ever after. This main character isn't at all convinced that she's going to be ok. But it is a very optimistic ending and completely appropriate.

And beyond that, it's Colleen Hoover at her best. She can just write fabulous romance.

"The sky is always beautiful. Even when it's dark or rainy or cloudy, it's still beautiful to look at. It's my favorite thing because I know if I ever get lost or lonely or scared, I just have to look up and it'll be there no matter what...and I know it'll always be beautiful"

- I live you (Me encanto ese concepto)

This book gave me whiplash. It had so many twists and turns that I literally didn’t have time to process them, and my mind is wrecked. I don’t think I can actually give a plot because there is no real “plot” without giving spoilers. However, this is a quick synopsis - Sky has been homeschooled her whole life up until senior year, when she finally goes to public school and meets dean holder. They instantly hit it off - but nothing is as it seems? NOTHING and i mean nothing in this book is a coincidence. It is all so well planned out and comes so full circle. The only reason it’s not a 5/5 is the beginning, which is slow, and it does take a bit for things to get a move on. BUT ONCE THEY DO it’s insane. This was so well done and everything fell into place in the end. I’m so jealous of the love sky and holder share. This is also def a “it’s always been you” trope. I’m still in shock.
