Puees, había leído muy buenas reseñas sobre este libro y tenía altas expectativas, quizá por eso al final fue menos de lo que esperaba.
Me encantó mucho la temática del libro, los temas que se incluían como la familia adinerada que tiene control sobre muchas cosas, que buscan la inmortalidad a través de ritos y sacrificios muy dark. La inclusión de los médiums y la brujería, la adoración a dioses oscuros. Todo eso estuvo bomba
It's a bit weird to advertise this so strongly as a novel when it definitely feels more like a collection of interconnected novellas and short stories. It even has a contents page with the titles of the sections. I liked the order they were presented in and would recommend reading them in order. The third story felt slow and boring near the beginning, which is worrying when you're in the first half of a 725 page book, but I really enjoyed it when things did start picking up. The final story also seemed to end very abruptly, although I quite liked the ending itself.
The character of Mercedes and some of her buddies did veer towards cartoonish in parts, which might ruin it for some people, but I didn't mind.
