I have no idea how or why this book is a bestseller. This was simply BORING. I can't believe I wasted two weeks laboring through the audiobook, simply out of sheer will. But those minutes of my life won't come back. Just a slog, with annoying characters, no proper build-up, and a disjointed, lame twist. Just nope.

This was super fun and interesting. I liked the backstory and depth that they gave the main character (Joy) and how she was much more than just the classic Mom trope. Really beautifully done and now I think my mom should read it.
