“She had betrayed him. He chose still to love her. There was nothing more to say.”

I liked the storyline and felt it was well-written. I enjoyed the few plot twists this book had, although I saw one of the plot twists coming. I also liked how the story unfolded.  I liked how it was told from multiple viewpoints, but it got confusing with the many different characters, and I liked how it went back and forth between timespans.  I felt there was good character development, although there were a few characters I didn't like.  One of my flaws was there were a lot of characters, especially minor characters, that I kept getting confused on.

I wanted to love this book but it just didn’t hit the mark for me. It dragged and a lot of the characters lacked depth. I think if I were a part of a book club of middle aged moms it’d be a good book for discussion… things like marriage, childhood trauma, kids/grandchildren, affairs, etc.
