The Shaw brothers are back for one more with Tanner- the youngest of the brothers and the ropper. He can't get over a girl he meet at his brother's wedding, Timber who comes out for Christmas. Even though this book is not Christmas it has a lot so it was perfect to read right now. Timber decides to quit her job and move to someplace that she could training and rescue horse. Her cousin invites her to come and stay in hopes of getting her to stay. There is so much meddling with Tanner's family and friend Dirk that it will give you many LOL moments.
I just love this family and the setting is beautiful as well! The sparks are flying with these two and you can get it coming off the page. Steamy but slow burn! I can't wait for Dirk next and to see who he get's his HEA with!

Overall, 4.5 stars and 4 steam.

Tanner and Timberlynn are my favorite of this series. I love the series because when you read it you feel like you are part of the Shaw family.

Timberlynn was looking for something that she just felt was missing, she just didn't know what till she went to Hamilton, Montana to visit her cousin. Feeling lost since losing her mom, and her dad keeping himself at a distance she decides to finally do something to make herself happy.

Tanner is a champion roper but is feeling like his life is missing something. After meeting Timberlynn at his brother's wedding he can't seem to stop thinking about her. They had immediate connection and chemistry. When he comes home and she is back in Montana he decides to pursue his feelings, knowing that she feels the same. He knows that she has trust issues.

Such a beautiful story of healing and love growing to a beautiful relationship. Tanner is the swooniest of the Shaw brothers and he truly saw Timberlynn for who she was and what she needed, especially in what she needed to heal from her past. I loved that we saw a change in Timberlynn and her father.

Blaze is the best!!

At a cross roads in her life and against her father's wishes, Timberlynn decides to walk away from her career as a nurse and move to Montana to work towards her dream of opening a horse rescue ranch. With his career at a standstill because his roping partner wants to walk away, Tanner decides what he needs is time with his family. What he did not expect was to feel an instant attraction for the beautiful girl he met at his brother's wedding that just so happens to be staying at his family's ranch. When the sparks fly and passion ignites, Timber and Tanner figure out that the best laid plans are ones that they make together. Love blossoms when you least expert it. In true Kelly Elliott style, the reader falls in love with not only the characters and the storyline but the sense of family and peace that can only be found on the ranch. I highly recommend this book!!

The Meet Me in Montana series just keeps getting better! Tanner and Timberlynn's story is angsty, emotional and has the full on swoon factor in effect. The Shaw family, and all the love and laugh out loud moments that go along with them, make this one irresistible must read!

I have always love Kelly's books. I started this new series with this one. The third book in the series. You don't necessary need to read these in order. As I was not lost reading this one without reading the first two.
This one is all about Timberlynn who just wants to feel loved and wants a normal family. She decides to take a vacation to Hamilton, Montana to visit her friend. She is chasing her dreams and trying to decide if Hamilton is where she wants to be to live out those dreams. She runs into Tanner again and realizes that Hamilton is where she wants to be if Tanner wants to be with her. But that is a battle in itself. There is instant chemistry between these two but will they be able to draw on it and come together?
I absolutely loved this one. I missed Kelly's characters and her writer. She always draws you into the story through her strong characters and storyline that you just cant get enough of. This is one of them. I absolutely love Timberlynn and Tanner but you have the additional Shaw family members to read and learn about.
I cant wait to read more from this series.

GOOD ENOUGH - Kelly Elliott

Meet me, and the characters of the third standalone instalment in the series with Good Enough, in Montana. Saddle on up for the story lasting longer than Tanner’s roping record, as we explore the budding romance between Tanner Shaw, and Timberlynn Holden.

If you like the slow-burn, small-town, friends-to-lovers, southern, cowboy/ranch hometown tropes to name a few, then Tanner & Timberlynn’s story is the one for you. A must-read for all romantics at heart who love all things Shaw brothers.

The time has come to get to know yet another Shaw brother, one whom we’ve been itching to read more about since his introduction in Brock’s story, Never Enough. Tanner Shaw, the roping brother of the trio, steps up to the plate of fate and stands eye-to-eye with the prospect of loving something other than his roping career. Timerlynn.

By now if you, like myself, have already read the other two standalones in the Meet me in Montana series, you be familiar with all three Shaw brothers. Namely, Brock and Ty with a bit of Tanner thrown in here and there. Good Enough sees us get an extra helping of the one who shall not be roped into love, and his journey to a place where he thought not possible for his heart to go. And it’s all thanks to Timberlynn, a Holden he will be holding onto longer than a roped steer.

Initially what drew me in to reading Good Enough—other than absolutely being besotted with the loveliest human on the planet, Kelly, and her books—was the allure of the nature of Tanner Shaw. We were teased with his introduction previously, and of course I like many others, wanted to know more about him and how he ticks. The mystery deepened as when Timberlynn was introduced into the story in Always Enough, Tanner became even more mysterious and I wanted to get my sleuth shoes on and investigate him even further. Seeing him change from what we had been teased with, to what we saw he COULD become, made me itch to read about him even more.

Refreshingly, the Good Enough’s main focus is taken away from the career of the Shaw brother, and encompasses the journey of two souls trying to find equal harmony in the Montana town that we have all come to know and love equal to, or even more than, previous towns in Texas introduced in other Kelly Elliott writes. The blend of interior and exterior factors around Tanner and Timberlynn has been written and executed flawlessly, without the overbearing nature of any main or sub-topic. Not an easy feat but as always, Kelly aces it with expert style. Making the wait for reading more in-depth about Tanner well worth the wait and twice as enjoyable.

Additionally and just as enjoyable, was how the personalities of the characters shone through more than I ever expected them to. When reading a book you can aways tell how a character is feeling via how the author conveys their emotions, but it is rare that you connect on such a level where you physically feel how the author has written those emotions. I felt this deeply here with Timberlynn in particular, connecting with her as if I was in her shoes and journeying along with her in her shoes. This is something I always admire about Kelly’s writing.

Each page turned (or even swiped!) made the admiration blossom even more until it was a lovely bouquet of sweet southern romance, mystery, and a will-they-won’t-they that will leave you rooting for your latest favourite fictional couple. As always, I could not put the book down until every last page was read. Unputdownable doesn’t even come close to describing the urge to read from cover to cover. It didn’t even enter my mind to put it down. Tanner and Timberlynn had me tantalised at every turn. You yourselves will discover the same when you pick up the rope, ready your steed and rope this romance read right onto your bookshelf.

It’s fair to say that as much as I—and thousands of others—love the good old-fashioned allure of many a small Texas town in other Kelly Elliott novels, Montana is quickly becoming the new Texas with its draw of equally attractive and captivating characters, charming towns, and everything in-between. Good Enough, like it’s book brothers before it, stands parallel in becoming a must-read of 2020 for both Kelly Elliott and new readers alike, to the genre and to southern romance in which you’ll be craving more of by the book’s end.

Good Enough won a new record in becoming one of my top ten of 2020, will it be yours?

Tempt yourself with Tanner and Timberlynn, and book a one way ride right to Montana on October 6th!

The first two "Meet Me in Montana" books I absolutely loved, and this one was no different, except I had run into quite a few grammatical or plot errors that started to ruin the story for me.

The first issue I ran into was at the beginning, when Tanner returns home and Ty finds him in the barn. Ty tells Tanner how Stella thinks that Lincoln is having a girl because of how sick she is again. A few chapters later, Lincoln tells Timberlynn that Stella thinks she's having a boy because she isn't as sick this time. Just doesn't make sense.

Next, at the roping event at the very beginning, it is indicated that Tanner is on his horse Trigger and Chance is on his horse Banker. A few chapters later when they are back home, Tanner explains that he dropped off Chance at home with Chance's horses and his backup horse, Banker, but brought his main horse home with him. Then, back home, Tanner explains to someone else that he dropped off Hank (new name never mentioned?) with Banker and Miller, this time Banker is presumed to be Chance's horse and Hank is Tanner's backup. It just got very confusing to read.

After the snow storm, Tanner explains that Stella taught Timberlynn how to make all kinds of baked goods and casseroles and taught her how to make a homemade ragu, a recipe from Stella's friend. A few chapters later, Tanner and Timberlynn are living in the cabin by the lake and he makes lasagna. Timberlynn thinks it's amazing and he explains it's the sauce and she says she's never had a sauce that tastes that good. This doesn't make sense considering she's had it before and she's learned to make it, because she's talking like she's never heard of it.

On the same page, Tanner says "...don't tell Tina you're eating jar from a sauce." It wasn't played off as his error in saying it so I'm taking it as an error.

In all, I loved Timberlynn and Tanner's story and can't wait for the fourth book to come out, but I definitely think Kelly's proofreading and editing teams are letting her down!
