This was a quick fairly entertaining read.

The premise was interesting to me, and I liked that Sequoia National Park was the setting.  There were some aspects of the story that kept bothering me because they seemed unrealistic to me.  I suppose that's just ridiculous on my part, after all it's a fantasy book about an unknown society living underground which communes with the trees.
