dare i say the movie was better 🫣 it's a fun premise and i actually enjoyed the worldbuilding parts a lot but there isn't quite as much happening in the story as you'd expect with a concept like this. the focus is more on the question of mickey's existence and sense of self which is still interesting but i'd hoped for more action. still an enjoyable quick sci-fi read though, and the audiobook was easy to listen to.

While I liked this overall much more than the movie, I think the ending of the movie was a little more satisfying. This felt a little rushed to me and everything wrapped up pretty quick and dirty. But I had a good time with this and I enjoyed the writing style

Really enjoyable. While I love Bong Joon Ho's scathing critique of capitalism in the film adaptation, I think overall I enjoyed the book much more. Great prose, solid world-building, enjoyable main character, and well-told sci-fi story.
