What a rollercoaster of emotions and heartbreak and action, twists and turns and daring escapes. "A Chip and a Chair" was so bonkers it left me speechless quite a few times, in the best way possible.
I'm not sure if I enjoyed as much as the first two books, but action-wise it's definitely the craziest, with quite a few showstopping scenes and terrifying moments. Levi and Dominic have finally started communicating like adults, they're asking for help and consciously not keeping stuff secret anymore; and they are also more devoted to one another than ever before: they are both trying their best and that was so lovely to see.
The thing I loved most of this book (apart from Rebel and some very very sweet moments between our two lovable idiots) was the sheer amount of action: it kept going and going and each moment was a build-up for the next. The Utopia subplot was horrific and terrifying and it nearly made me start rooting for Seven of Spades. Speaking of which, we finally discover their identity and I'm satisfied to say that I kind of saw it coming (they were one of my first suspects), but in a "oh my god, what is happening" kind of way.
I'll definitely re-read this series someday soon (as soon as my heart recovers from all that pain and angst and heartbreak) because I'm going to miss all of these wonderful characters.
