I love Rick Riordan's writing style- they make his books fun and interesting to read. I wasn't at all disappointed by the book 9 from the Nine Worlds, for it was a fast paced, action packed, and humorous read. I'd definitely recommend books by Rick Riordan, especially for fans of Tombquest, Gods and Warriors, The Blackwell Pages, and Seven Wonders.

These were all so short and just lacking anything interesting. Clearly half-assed cash grab attempt to put in some more content in this series.

Sam stood in the middle of the store. With a spear of brilliant light in hand and wearing a suit of chain mail with a helmet over her green hijab, she looked drop-dead dangerous.

You know what? This was actually kind of better than the main Magnus Chase books? Maybe because Magnus himself wasn't in it?

It's a collection of fun short stories that each had a different narrator. Only downside: they all sounded the same (i.e. like Magnus) to me, which is why I still wasn't super invested in what happened.

The lovely illustrations were a nice touch though.

Meh niet heel geweldig, de korte verhalen zijn wel leuk maar dit voelde allemaal erg afgeraffeld. Het was leuker als ze allemaal een avontuur beleefden zonder Magnus die gwn wat langer duurde, nu sloeg het niet echt ergens op...
