3.5 rounded up to 4. This is a short book centred around possession and a family curse. I would have liked to know how the curse began, and who the bearded trucker really is. Maybe a prequel about Jack’s mother etc? It was an interesting read but not incredible.

I listened to the audio book version and it was so good!!! This is one of my favorite audio books I’ve listened to. The narrators voice and accent were perfect! It was super creepy!

I seem to have an affinity for books about terrifying children and this is one of my new favs. Rather than dancing around the possibilities of what a twisted child is capable of or focusing on their psychological descent into madness, Ahlborn hits the gas and takes the reader through a fast paced, demonic overthrow of a bubbly 6 year old in a way that left my stomach in knots- bravo!

They way I gasped at the ending, oh gosh this was a ride. Amazing, felt slow at times but each bit was suspenseful. I was never guessing what was going to happen and I felt the ending was just amazing. But because it was slow I couldn’t give it 5 stars.
