Every evil is due to a lack of knowledge.

Whenever I think I've read the most fascinating book I'll ever read, I am pleasantly surprised that another one is around the corner. And that's what this book is about: How there is no end to the universe's capacity to surprise and amaze us.

David Deutsch writes with incredible clarity about how he sees the future of human progress and tackles vast and complex subject matter in a way that makes it accessible to people who do not possess his deep knowledge and rare insight.

There are so many things I want to say about this book. About problems and explanations, about pessimism and optimism. But it would take up too much space and could only ever be a shadow on the wall of a cave. So I'll say only one thing: Read it.

a very interesting read and introduction to strategic thinking at a fundamental level before applying the layers of politics and economics.

I liked how this booked linked concepts and bought in ancient philosophies into its message.

I wouldn't necessarily recommend this to a light reader as it is very complex and not an 'easy' read.

Beginning of Infinity is not perfect (of course not, as its own philosophy of knowledge would declare), but it has enough worldview-shaping ideas to get 5 stars from me. This is one I will continue to think about and return to for years to come.

What an adventure! What a thrill! This book has easily become my favorite ever read. I can't explain how it makes you want to go out and grab the universe by the horns and help humanity however you can to take its next step towards consolidating the beginning of infinity.

This was an interesting book, very much like a thought experiment. It is nicely paced and really thought provoking.

It uses both historic and current events is explain how we got where we are today, and where we go from here. The Narrator does a good job, and the chapters are laid out in a way that makes sense.

I borrowed this book from the library, and the wait was just over a year. It was well worth the wait!
