This read more like poetry than short stories- such beautiful writing. This was gorgeous, depraved, haunting, queer magic. I loved it.
i really loved a lot of the themes in this book, motherhood, womanhood, houses and home. there were a few stories that reminded me of i who have never known men, which is one of my all-time favourites. not all stories successful, i think the reading got quite slow towards the end, but absolutely a collection i'd recommend.

Really enjoyable selection of unsettling sapphic stories. The more the stories delved into body horror, the more engrossing the writing became. I feel like the key weakness of this collection is that the success of the more experimental writing styles was inconsistent, whereas the more conventionally written stories felt accomplished.

The writing is absolutely stunning and SO unique, however it is just so not for me at all. Metaphorical to the point where it’s hard to tell what’s actually going on. I’d recommend this to people who enjoyed ‘this is how you lose the time war’
