I think I was almost guaranteed to love this seeing as its a sapphic horror in an urban setting featuring a hardcore female protagonist. Stranger things vibes are the perfect descriptor in my opinion, so if you love that show I think this will be right up your alley. I love the mythical/mystery/magical horror elements and the political/social issues explored are presented beautifully. Stories that have important meaning while also keeping this fluid and entertaining are my favourite.

(but really who doesn't want that in a book)
