I typically don't like comedic auto-biopics, but this one had me laughing so hard I was in tears with a side stitch. Tina Fey also possesses the rare talent of writing great comedy while sneaking in a smart valuable and life lesson that eventually bubbles up and makes you go huh!
Bartunde Thurston, author of "How to Be Black" and Tina Fey should have a comedic love child. I can guarantee the world will welcome an incredibly funny, intelligent and well rounded individual who knows how to tickle the funny bone. Stop everything your doing, and go buy this book. The pictures alone make it worth the cost.

Dated book, but she constantly refers to what race someone is when unnecessary for the context, and overall the book just wasn't that funny. She talk about being skinny, and then "fat" at size 12. Not worth the time to finish.

Love the fact that she’s pro women and pro women who are working mothers. This book is pretty funny but did take a while to get into.
This book filled in exactly where I needed it to. I started it the day after a friend passed away hoping to find a book to make me smile. It did that and more. It wasn’t a riveting page turner but it is full of one liners you find yourself repeating.

What a funny read (well listen in my case)! Tina takes readers/listeners on a rambling tour of her life thus far, not by choosing to lay out every detail, but rather by telling the stories that make up the key points of her personality and working life.
I really liked all the background info on her start in improv and found some of the lessons of improv to be applicable to life. What drew me to this audiobook is that it was read by the author. I'd been meaning to read the book for quite a while, but now that I've just finished listening to it I would highly recommend the audio version because Tina's voices are awesome! She claims she's not much of an impressionist but she does some pretty spot on impressions of Lorne Michaels and other SNL alums just to name a few.
Take this book on your next road trip and you'll have a happy drive.
