Sci-fi is not usually my genre, but one of my students was reading this book, and kept telling me how good it was. She was RIGHT. Such a great mix of adventure, suspense, humor, emotional drama. I felt like sometimes it was a little too much science and not enough inner emotions and thoughts revealed (like we ended up knowing basically nothing of his life on earth even by the end of the book), but I guess that’s sci-fi? Regardless, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
