This book was a bit boring, but I had to keep going.
I didn't find that I liked the much loved Mr. Rochester and sometimes Jane was a bit disagreeable. However, this is one of the books where you are meant to dissect it and understand it rather than form your own opinion.

I reread Jane Eyre for the first time since high school...and I liked it. I've always slightly disliked both Jane and Rochester, but apparently with the petulance of a fourteen year old. I seem to have grown up. How disturbing.

I forgot how much I love this book.
Thanks to the amazing yarn advent based on Jane Eyre, and the maker of said yarn (AdventuresInYarncraft) holding a read-a-long, I fell back in love with this one.
I hadn't (re)read a classic in a while, this really made me want to start reading all my favourites again

Surprisingly easy to read given that I don't read classics usually. There's a lot of Christian imagery - I had an edition with notes at the back, but I still struggled to understand a lot of it. It was still a good book. I believe someone who has more knowledge of classics and literature would enjoy this much more. I still found it interesting though.
