This is definitely the deeper of the two, with an even more confusing ending. However, I think the first remains my favorite. While there are definitely some good bits in this one, the first’s tickle my funny bone in a certain way. Thor is a fun character and Kate is an interesting protagonist. This one gives Dirk much more time to shine, which is fun and full of outrageous situations. Overall still quite good.

This book got right into the action, and the dialogue and writing style is superb, making this an easy listen. The narrator (who is also the author) did a wonderful job. However, the actual conclusion felt rather rushed, which is a pattern I’ve noticed in Douglass Adam’s work.

Bien meilleur et moins confus que le premier, sans doute parce que Dirk est impliqué dès le début. La fin est peut-être un peu précipitée.

The narrator narrates like I know what they are talking about. I really don't.
