This took quite a while to get through. The first Dirk Gently connected the holostic interconnectedness of the story much more wholly and understandably than this one. I do look forward to read the third of the Dirk Gently stories, seeing what's next.

I still love Dirk Gently, I guess. I did like the first novel better, but this one isn't bad either. The plot lines were definitely less interesting this time around or maybe it was just me. The general vibe however remained the same, which I absolutely loved. Crazy, weird, impossible and hilarious. Classic Dirk Gently. Reading these novels made me kinda wish that the two seasons from the Netflix show would get adapted into two books. The physical appearance of the two Dirk's, novel-Dirk and show-Dirk, is quite different, but the rest of the character isn't all that different. The way they act and the vibe they give off feels very much the same, which is why I could totally see the show-original cases being adapted into individual novels just like the two I already read.
