A me, nella norma, piace molto.

when i tell you this is now one of my favourite books, i CANNOT emphasize that to you enough. i read it on kindle unlimited and then WENT TO SPEND MONEY ON A PHYSICAL COPY. the dynamics are amazing in this and the dialogue is so fucking funny, i had to stop myself from laughing in public. the only drawback is the smut scenes are fade to black, but that’s a very small gripe in the grand scheme of things. i even started the sequel and it’s equally as hilarious.

there is an extended bit where one of lucien’s coworkers mixes up the concept of jury trials with the rampant badger problems in britain and i felt like i’d died and ended up in the fevered imaginings oof a monty python sketch.

but it is true, you know. jury trials do cause issues for farmers and pose a risk of tuberculosis.

This book was delightful! Clever and funny. A light, gay rom-com!

Just finished listening to the audiobook!

First thing first: Joe Jameson was AMAZING. He did an awesome job and his Oliver voice was to die for!

Secondly, I have both read and listened to this story, and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. Is it groundbreaking? No. Is it predictable as any romantic comedy book ever? Yep. Was it good tho? Absolutely! I enjoyed reading how insecure Luc learned to open up and trust a new person, and now Ollie realised he just needed to be himself, not who society and his parents wanted him to be.

I also really liked the supporting characters, each one of them interesting and funny in their own way!

Can't wait for the sequel!!

Hot scale: there are some sex scenes but they fade to black. They seem very sweet tho!

Main character is insufferably self-loathing and frequently insults his love interest, sometimes making sexually harassing comments. Makes no sense as to why his love interest continued to put up with him.
