This is such an excellent book. I’ve listened to it at least five times. If you are an educator or want to understand how childhood trauma changes the actual brain of a child, listen to this book. Absolutely compelling.

This was tough, but informative. I liked the explanations for why Dr. Perry believes in his methods and the examples in the book.

I have read before but re-read recently with a supervisee with discussions every couple weeks to discuss work with our population (traumatized children). It was a useful way to explore many issues and also a source of teaching the material of understanding deeply the brain and psyche landscape of the traumatized brain.
