The last 20% of this book is somewhat interested. But the first 80% is just not. I'm not sure how I made it through to be honest. It's repetitive. There's too much backstory and yet somehow I didn't feel like I got to know any of the characters at all. There's a lot of emphasis on things that seem very unimportant and little to no emphasis on things that should be major points. None of the characters are likable. I gave it an extra star because it does get decent toward the end for a bit. But the ending is very unsatisfying. Overall I wasn't impressed.
Took a long time to really enjoy this book. Extremely slow in some places and I was probably 80% through before I couldn't put it down.
I literally feel like this book just dragged and dragged and dragged on..I took me FOREVER to get through it to where it felt like a chore. I was going to DNF it but I kept telling myself it would get better. Around pg 150 it started to pull my interest back but I quickly lost it again by the last 30 pages. Also the ending wasn’t anything special. But I got the book free on stuff your kindle day so I guess I can’t complain too bad.

The first 60% of the book was mostly story building and a bit boring at times, but the remaining 40% was thrilling and unexpected. There is some exquisite writing in this book, I was throughly impressed.

Not a great book, just good, in my opinion. It took about 100 pages of slow reading to finally have it grab me. It didn't get too exciting, but there were some twists.
