It's not Christmas for me until I've watched or read some rendition of A Christmas Carol. I've come to appreciate the original book more and more over the years. It's no wonder it's a classic that's been done over and over again.

A Christmas Carol is my second favorite Christmas story, behind only How The Grinch Stole Christmas. That said, though I do love Tim Curry in general, his performance here is not my favorite. To my ear, his voice just doesn't suit the narrative that well.

I really enjoyed the book because of the great writing and storytelling style. The end of the story was very well written. I also liked how the author pictured and critiqued some of the character traits of people.
