This was really interesting—it was a good reminder to trust your instincts and to remember that the world can be a scary place and there are scary people in it, but it doesn't fear monger. I honestly felt pretty empowered while reading it.

This was an interesting read/listen. It took me a while to get through, simply because of the subject material. I had to walk away and read something light. I would also say this has the potential to be triggering to anyone who has faced: physical/sexual assault, stalking, domestic violence, etc. Read with caution. But very enlightening.

This book might save your life. Intuition is powerful, and our fear response is wisdom rising up from the depths to help us navigate the world. Unlike anxious and worried thoughts, real fear is a gift, and something to be paid attention to. Ironically, real fear readies the body and mind to act in ways that logic cannot compare with.

The book was most interesting for the stories of violence and deconstruction of the signs and signals that were present but go unheeded by people who have learned to ignore their intuition (which is great at detecting real danger) and jnstead live in perpetual worry (created by the mind) or mindlessness when they need not.

We are all irreplaceable, and fortunately it’s up to our own autonomy to prevent a lot of the dangers in the world.

This book helps teach you to recognize and understand the signs and signals your own body shows you. But it’s so much more than that. I think anyone can read and benefit from the knowledge this book offers.

This book is a bit dated but goes through why it is important to trust your instincts. I was hoping for something a big more...helpful. The author does make sure that you know he is the foremost genius in anything ever to be done in the world. He also provides you with many lists to assess a threat. I didn't find it all that helpful if I'm honest.

I also found the lack of consideration around bias to be shocking and concerning.
