An interesting look at the building of a polycule. I think what kept me from *loving* this book was:
1. This had a New Adult feel to it, rather than 30-somethings the guys were. I don’t know if it’s because so many of their issues originated in high school or the way they talked to each other - but I kept having to remind myself these weren’t 21 year olds.
2. Each character didn’t have a distinct “voice”. I often found myself scrolling back, trying to remember whose POV the chapter was from. Hudson, especially, changed from who he was in Rocket Science (book 1) and at the beginning of Four Letter Word. While it was explained that he was “putting up a front” - he became indistinguishable from Bishop, Leo, or Riot when thinking/speaking.
I also think a little more of the four of them together (not even talking sex here) would have made it feel less like an HFN. There was an epilogue, but something still felt incomplete about their relationship.
I’m definitely interested in Theo & Alex’s story though.

This story is so sweet and tender, but also full of banter and steam! It’s pretty slow paced but it’s a perfect fit since the characters need time to navigate their newly acknowledged feelings for each other. Three of the characters have been friends since they were kids, there’s some tension between two of them and they haven’t spoken for years - which adds to the angst and uncertainty of the story.
I like that all four guys have their own POV, however it was hard to follow at times since they weren’t that distinctive from each other. There is loads of chemistry between them and I appreciate that they take the time to explore it, as well as getting to know each other in different pairings. I would have liked to see more of them as a quad, there were a lot of scenes with two or three of them together, but not really as a foursome

I liked this book but there were parts that kind of made me a little anxious. Nothing major but there were parts that would kind of made me a little upset had I been in a polyamorous relationship. Aside from the few things, this was low angst, lots of heat, super sweet, and just a feel good book! I would recommend this to someone for sure!

Polyamory makes my brain hurt.
I couldn't round this one up to four stars because I just felt like so much of the story was focused on Bishop that when the rest of the relationships fell into place it seemed rushed. Like boom TOGETHER.

Great poly
This author has been a go to for hot aexy m/m but this is 1000% better with a an amazingly accurate portrayal of the polyamorous lifestyle. If I could give this 10 stars I would.

Mi è piaciuto molto com'è stato strutturato lo svilupparsi della relazione, ma ho trovato un po'... manchevoli alcune sicutazioni. Certe informazioni (tipo il passato di Riot) sono rimaste sempre condivise con un solo partner... inoltre c'era una scena, in assoluto, che mi aspettavo di trovare e invece non c'è stata.

Wow. Bishop has got it going on! This book was fantastic! I loved the more in depth explanations of how polyamory works and the new "vocab" words. Not only was this book super sweet but the relationships really did evolve very organically. I didn't feel like anything was rushed and I especially liked the bond that each man formed with one another and not just with Bishop. I can't forget the guys (and gal) from Rocket science! They are also present in this book and I couldn't be happier with the foreshadowing for the next book! Plus who doesn't want a little more Pax and Nerdlet? I'm so excited. I love this whole series and these characters.
