With Lucy now having a new celestial spirit with her, she and the guild go on a surprise resort vacation. However, the enjoyment is cut short when Erza is suddenly kidnapped and it turns into a more personal situation when she’s brought to her old friends and learns that one of them is still stuck in the past. We get to learn about Erza and her old friends’ past as orphan slaves determined to escape their broken lives. A (100%/Outstanding)

Despite all the humor and outrageous fights - there are times when this manga delves a little deeper - and this was one of those volumes.
Friendship is key in this series and here it shines brightest so far.

This one does a short final wrap of the last major storyline, letting Lucy and Loke fall into their new roles and Loke does something nice for everyone. He sends Lucy, Erza, Gray and Natsu to a high-end hotel- casino that Loke used to like to use.

In the midst of having fun, Erza's tragic past comes back to haunt her. We get to see how Erza grew up and this past will do more than haunt. It could get her and all her friends killed. Obviously, by volume 10, you've already made your decision to stay or bale. I think this one is very good. I like what we see of Erza and am looking forward to the next volume

This series is really hit-or-miss for me depending on the volume. This one was a miss, but I’m excited to continue on for new adventures.

After being 10 volumes in I'm still enjoying the manga but it seems to me the creator gets sidetracked easily lol. It's entertaining nonetheless

Volume 10 of Fairy Tail continues to entertain with its excellent artwork and inventive story. In this volume we get Erza's origin story and a new set of enemies. Fun stuff.
