…now as you eat what your mother eats
her fear is your world torn & thrown to birds.
but still the light is thick in the trees. the callery
pears are loud this season & my throat is bright
with flowers for you both. such beautiful flowers
i hardly have the words.
- for my niblings in anticipation of their birth
her fear is your world torn & thrown to birds.
but still the light is thick in the trees. the callery
pears are loud this season & my throat is bright
with flowers for you both. such beautiful flowers
i hardly have the words.
- for my niblings in anticipation of their birth

A book of poems about all things pig. I love the formal play, the wide association of pigs and pig topics, and the pig as an anchor for the collection. While it’s fun at times, like dancing at a club, it’s also deeply serious and contemplative, writing praise poems to Miss Piggy and also poems considering the similar treatments of Jews and pigs. A collection about queerness, Jewishness, animalness, and humanness.
Graphic: Animal cruelty, Homophobia, Antisemitism, Sexual content, and Animal death
Moderate: Pandemic/Epidemic, Alcohol, Blood, Mass/school shootings, and Murder
