I didn’t want to like this book, but… I did. I started reading it because it was somehow the only thing I had downloaded on my kindle while on a plane lol. It’s way darker than I normally read, but I couldn’t put it down. Definitely don’t read if you might be triggered by the contents, cause it’s pretty f’d up. I loved the world building, but at some points I had trouble keeping track of the cast of characters in bomard, because there were so many. 4.75/5

I listened to the audio for this book and I was so excited! I didn’t read the fan fic so I went into it blind. It was definitely dark (for me) and at times I was dreading what would happen next. However I needed more from the MMC.
I will be excited to read book 2 tho!
