i liked the authors style of writing but i think the need to wrap up the book in under 30 pages threw me off big time.

This book starts with a bang and keeps you turning to read just one more page. I flew through this story, it was a quick read with a lot going on. I kept thinking I knew what was going to happen only to find out that was not the case. Really good psychological thriller!

Read this in a day, it’s been awhile since I’ve done that! It definitely did a good job at being a thriller, sucking me in to where I could hardly put it down and just had to know what happened next. It had quite a bit of mystery wrapped in perfectly. This book did have a bit of mature content, that I didn’t prefer. But the overall mystery was so enticing to me it didn’t completely turn me off. I also wasn’t expecting the way it ended, which I enjoyed being surprised. Over all I enjoyed this book pretty well.

The writing style was really bad. It mostly comprised of simple syntactic structures, which were then repeated every sentence, giving the writing a really repetitive and blocky quality, as if it were the first fan fic a high schooler ever wrote. The writing style was also very literal, giving the reader no room for interpretation. It made the characters sound really dumb and gave no faith to the reader’s intelligence.
Aside from that, the characters were really shallow and their relationship was completely unconvincing. It existed because the author wanted it to, not because they had any chemistry or interest in each other. Will not be picking up anything else by this author.

I do love a Michele Campbell book. I listened to this on audio and was hooked right from the first chapter..

A twisty psychological thriller of greed, love and betrayal. Tabitha and Connor had a summer of love as teenagers. When they reconnect years later is that spark still there? Connor is now married to a very wealthy woman but will that stop him? You will not know who to believe and the plot twists come thick and fast.

An excellent read to start my week.

This was the first book by Michele Campbell that I had read & now I can’t wait to read the rest. This book was quick to catch my attention & continued to do so throughout the whole book. The chapters were fairly short which I like & the story was very fast paced & I never felt like it was dragging anything out. This book has everything you need to be successful in my opinion
