I think that was a fitting end to the series. Even though I've had some issues with the series as a whole, I'm very sad that we'll no longer get any new stories in this world. It has been a part of my life for such a long time.

Rereading this reminded me that this was a sufficient ending to this epic story but I expected more. Mainly my favorite characters seemed one dimensional. I understand Brandon Sanderson tried to finish a story with characters not truly his but the tone, humor, and essence of each was wrong. Still a wonderful epic and it leaves me with so many questions of what happens next.
I really disliked the characters that Brandon added himself, e.g Androl. He made an absolute unlikeable chump out of Logain and instead spent hundreds of pages making a sham of the magic system with Androl. Jordan himself treated the magic system with near reverence having been an engineer , he understood the balance and rigidity that needs to exist in the system for it to be appealing and here comes Brandon turning the system into a poorly thought out X-men series.

Un libro maravilloso. Una saga única. Una historia tan compleja como única. No puedo creer que haya terminado. Es la segunda oportunidad que la leo completa y lo disfruté como la primera vez. Sin duda en unos años más volveré hacerlo porque el mundo de la Rueda es algo que no he encontrado en ningún otro universo literario (El Archivo de Sanderson es tal vez lo que más se acerca).
Y sí, es una saga larga, pesada, difícil; con miles de personajes imposibles de memorizar y tramas que avanzan lentísimo. Pero también tiene una construcción de mundo enorme, algunos de los mejores personajes de la fantasía (Rand, Mat, Egwene, Nynaeve), momentos épicos que sopesan completamente el lento ritmo de algunas partes del libro, villanos bien trabajados y una de las prosas más bellas y cuidadas que he leído.
Un Recuerdo de Luz es el desgarrador y anhelado fin de un viaje de varios años como lector. No puedo más que recomendar esta saga y animarles a seguir adelante con su lectura porque el viaje no defraudará.

This was a wonderful conclusion to the Wheel of Time series. Brandon Sanderson is a great author who truly understood Robert Jordan's writing style and completed the series without skipping a beat.
