SO GOOD. Review will appear on Romance Reviews Today in December 2011!

YES YES YES YES YES!!!! HE'S BACK!!!!

I waited awhile to read this. Unsure due to the mixed reviews. I admit as the series progresses the strength, urgency and the deep fervor to know more and be in their lives lessens. Kind of like a marriage - lust, infatuation, love, then contentment. Therefore, this series had both the ups and downs of a marriage. We had the big breakup scene at the end of the last book and now we are sweeping up the mess. Learning to live without that heart pounding excitement. That does not mean this was a bad story.

The story opens with Merit and her new/old man Jonah (turns out there is history there!). There is something intriguing about the two of them together that I would like to see explored more and really hope that we find them thick as friends until the end. Things are happening in Chicago that are unexplained, natural events that are being blamed at the feet of the vamps. We have a new screwed up Mayor, Tate being Tate, McKetrick being a grade A dick, GP Frank with his head up has ass and wreaking havoc in the House all the while morning for Ethan.

The ending was a surprise, I suppose. There are some things that we knew were going to happen, especially when Chloe told us to hold on, things would be reveled and they were. The only thing that really bothered me in this story is the constant chasing of tails. It served a purpose, we learned way more about the Sup world than we did before, but it felt at times like a scavenger hunt for no real purpose other than to send Merit and Jonah all over town.

I will stay with the series and see where the story leads. This book had all the trappings of a transition book and that is not necessarily a bad thing. I will keep reading!!

I NEED THIS BOOK NOW!!! OMG, the ending of Hard Bitten is killing me!!!

I just love this series, so I really wanted to know how the story would continue. Merit is one of my favourite vampires and I just love how Chloe Neill portrays her. This story was really good if you ask me, the things that happened in this book are really surprising.
I didn’t know who was behind all the magic in the book right until the end. When the other characters in the book found out who did it. So that’s a great thing about this book, you don’t know right away what’s going on and who did what.
A great book in the series, I loved it from the first page to the last. I can’t wait to read the next book!

I can always expect for there to always have an element of surprise and a last minute twist with Chloe's books. It was another excellent read and can't wait to see what happens about Ethan.

OMG ETHAN CAN'T BE DEAD!
It has to be fixed some how, like his death was an illusion.
Or Merits love was so great it bought him back from death (ha not likely)
Or maybe she could fall in love with Jonah and join the red guard??

loved this bloom Omb soososoosos good cant wait for the next

Damn damn damn
