A good book if you want to remember the fairy tales written by the Grimm brothers. But, of course, we can’t ignore the elephant in the room - the toxic masculinity and patriarchy that permeate their stories. Remember, these tales were written way back in the early 19th century, so let’s take them as a reflection of the societal norms of that era. They were meant to teach children good behavior and instill values of respect and kindness.

only took me two years to get through this, i feel like i read the same stories like four times and i definitely like slightly more modern versions better
I enjoyed reliving my childhood through these tales.
The original (and in my opinion, best) versions of popular fairy tales. I particularly love Rapunzel and Rumplestiltskin.

Grimm's brothers tale was grim indeed. Wow, talking wolves, foxes and horse. Evil stepmothers, beautiful stepdaughters, princes looking for the beautiful princess. Witches, witchcraft, black magic, cannibalism. Childless couples wanting, praying or seeking magic to have a child. Stories now are romanticized, but so much envy, greed and deceit.
