i liked this book more than my year of rest and relaxation even though i found them to be pretty similar.

This is my genre! Spooky grotesque angry feminine surreal and a little too close to home. I do wish there was a more conclusive or shocking end to wrap up the whole story that left me more satisfied, but it was a fun read regardless.

Is it depressing af and do I feel miserable (the bad kind) after reading it? Yes.

I feel like there’s a point here where the author is saying that people who glamorise effed up art are bad while at the same time making effed up art and I don’t feel bad at all for saying ah no thanks I don’t want to glamorise this art.
