 this was fun, but kind of a slog to get through. Delia skirted the edge between charming and irritating, Max was nice but I don't have much more to say, the grandmothers were effing ridiculous and felt like both old ladies and literal children, Luke was a good counter to his brother but felt kinda one dimensional, Amy came off almost too abrasive, and Nicky? Literally the best part, whom we barely saw lol. this audiobook could've been at least 2 hours shorter and I would've been happy.

The pacing killed this one! 😒 There wasn’t enough movement for me until the 50% mark when the hex was broken, which I thought should have happened much earlier to avoid the slow start. I wasn’t bored per se, but I definitely wanted more from the story and really only enjoyed the parts with magic. In the end, this was very vanilla to me and won’t stand out. The bones were good, so I might give the author another shot should the book turn into a series, which it easily could.

As I always say, nothing but love and respect for authors! You’re all amazing!

I wanted to LOVE this novel, but I struggled through it. It had everything that should’ve made it a spooky season hit—sweet, bumbling witches, snarky, hilarious familiars, black cats, magic, and romance. But for some reason, it didn’t hook me as much as I’d hoped. I liked it well enough, but I expected to be obsessed and just… Wasn’t.

That said, I think I’m the exception, not the rule. I have a feeling that Hot Hex Boyfriend will be a huge spooky season hit and that most people will totally love it.

A fun, lighthearted witchy read that hit the spot.  Loved Delia and Max.  Excellent side characters and fell in love with the town as well.

Overall just a perfect witchy book for this time of year with audio that brought it to life.
