Unevenly smutty in the first half imo but it did make for quick pacing. As more of the thriller aspect came into play, my eyes definitely widened a few times in surprise.

Listen. I wanted smut. This gave smut. I also actually really loved the twist and the story. This was a solid 3.5

OMG... This book... THIS BOOK! I'm still processing every single thing that it made me feel.

Pen Pal by JTGeissinger is an amazing and thrilling experience you need to have by completely going blind into it. For you to appreciate every plot twist in the story, avoid spoilers (of course checking out the TW list beforehand). This is the first book I've read from the author, though I know she has an amazing Mafia Romance Series - which I need to read ASAP - I loved her writing style SO MUCH. It is the type of writing that will immerse you in the literary experience, highly entertaining! What is this book about? This book relates Kayla's new chapter in her life and how everything that happens to her and every single person she relates to has an important role in her life. Kayla also starts a singular relationship with a Pen Pal. Their communication is intense and very deep. Kayla will need to learn how to let go from her past in order to move on with her future.

I read in a review that this book would be THE PERFECT MOVIE and I couldn't agree more. It's thrilling, super entertaining and those twists will definitely shock you. I kept making theories in my mind!

i think a 3.5? this book was NOTHING like i thought it would be... i'm actually kind of shocked and realizing that suspenseful romance is not my thing looool (honestly this wasn't even a romance) i'm gonna go back to my cutesy romances nowwwww BUT actually a pretty good read for spooky season for sure. i think the ending makes up for the whole 60% of the book.. so if u want a book that'll make u say "wtf" every 5 min. give this a try - maybe ? LOL idk it wasn't amazing but just so unbelievably insane it feels like a canon event to read this
